MICEO is a mortgage investment that generates higher returns than a GIC and avoids stock market volatility.
In Canada, MICEO is available to individuals who qualify in one of two ways:
- As an accredited investor outlined by securities commissions and with a $5,000 minimum investment
- As a non-accredited investor with a $150,000 minimum investment
Do you qualify as an accredited investor?
- An individual who beneficially owns, or who together with a spouse beneficially own, financial assets having an aggregate realizable value that, before taxes but net of any related liabilities, exceeds $1,000,000;
- An individual whose net income before taxes exceeded $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or whose net income before taxes combined with that of a spouse exceeded $300,000 in each of those years and who, in either case, has a reasonable expectation of exceeding the same net income level in the current year;
- A person or company registered under the Act or securities legislation in another jurisdiction as an advisor or dealer, other than a limited market dealer.
MICEO reserves the right to cap the Fund at any time without notice. Indicated returns are net of management fee, which is 1.0% plus expenses, and net of mortgage administration fee of 1.0%. Please read the Fund’s Subscription Agreement before investing. These are historical compounded returns. They do not take into account income taxes payable by any holder. Pooled funds are not guaranteed; their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated.
